The tuning specialists at KTM have recently introduced the X-Bow R, an improved version of the popular X-Bow. KTM enhanced the engine from 265 hp to 300 hp and tweaked the body, bringing a whole lot of excitement to the range. It is powered by a 2.0l TFSI from Audi that was modified to provide 400 Nm of torque. KTM added a new turbine and made some changes to the injection system. KTM also modified some parts of the model to deal with the increased engine output.
KTM revised the suspension on the rear axle and the push rod suspension on the front that both came from Formula racing. For improved cornering, the car was given an overall lower position. KTM has revealed the pricing information as well as the details of the X-Bow R. It will be priced from 58,795 (excluding national taxes and import duties).
"The completely revised, even more powerful super sports car from Austria has been presented to the public in the series version. Just two days after the official opening of the Red Bull Ring in the presence of national and international motorsports personalities, the "R" has been able to show just what it can do on this racing circuit. True to the KTM "Ready to Race" motto the "R" model was driven on the road straight from the assembly line in Graz directly onto the racing circuit." said the press release. [via - 4wheelsnews]
