It appears that the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport was quite a success as several sources confirmed the fact that the fastest car in the world is already sold out. For those who dont know, the Bugatti built only 30 units of the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, each carrying an estimated base price of $2.3 million. The first five units are known as the World Record Edition, and these cars were already sold out when the car has been launched.
So, what do you get for all that amount of money? First of all you get the impressive design of a supercar, then an 8-liter W16 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox capable to deliver 1200 hp (882 kW) and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm of torque.
Still, you will also get an impressive top speed of 415 km/h (257 mph), limited electronically in order to protect the tyres. Back in June, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved a new landspeed world record for production cars with an average speed of 431 km/h (268 mph). So, if you still want to buy a Bugatti Veyron you should go for the Grand Sport. It is a bit slower (360 km/h or 223 mph in the convertible form), but you will still make quite an entrance with this car at any exclusive party! [via - 4wheelsnews]
