According to the latest production numbers from analysts �Global Insight�, Volkswagen has overtaken Toyota to become the largest automobile manufacturer.
According to the latest reports, following were the top passenger car producers in the first three quarters of 2009:
1.Volkswagen 4.4 Million
2.Toyota 4 Million
3.Ford 3.7 Million
4.General Motors 3.6 Million
The credit of the VW group�s massive success is attributed to the new Golf and Polo hatches and the Fabia and Octavia models from its sister brand - Skoda.
