2011 Nissan 370Z Coupe Review,Price,Feature
The 2011 model from Nissan was indeed a surprise as just after the redesign that Nissan gave to its Z Coupe in 2009 there was not much more expected at such a short interval from the company. The model however was presented with little or no updates.
Upon introduction, the Base is equipped with a standard 3.7-liter, V6, 332-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 7-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The NISMO is equipped with a standard 3.7-liter, V6, 350-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard.
The 370Z and 370Z Touring are each available with a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) and choice of 6-speed manual transmission with an available SynchroRev Match synchronized downshift rev matching system or a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Crisp handling is provided by a refined 4-wheel independent suspension.
The dramatic 370Z interior utilizes an innovative driver-centric three-layer design which groups items by how a driver sees information, operates the controls and is held in place so drivers feel completely connected and engaged whenever and wherever they drive.
Under the hood there is the same 3.7 liter V6 engine with an output of 332 HP @ 7,000 rpm and 270 lb-ft of torque @ 5,200 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The design for the Nissan takes some lessons right out of the 240Z style book with its sleek aerodynamic shape, a "dynamic motion" feel with a dramatic cantilevered roof, and a "low visual gravity." The interior offers Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System with 7-inch VGA touch-sensitive display, 9.3GB HDD Music Box, USB connectivity and iPod connection, XM NavTraffic with Real-Time Traffic Information, RearView Monitor, automatic phonebook download (select phones) and Bluetooth Streaming Audio, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, and standard Nissan Intelligent Key.
