Audi Rumored to be Working on New Q4 SUV to battle Range Evoque

Audi will double the number of SUVs in its range, which currently includes the recently announced Q3 (pictured in the above sketch), plus the Q5 and Q7, with the addition of three new models by 2016, according to a company insider cited by Autocar magazine. The new models will be named Q2, Q4 and Q6, and according to the magazines source, will enable the Ingolstadt-based carmaker to cover every niche of the popular SUV segment.
The first addition to Audis SUV line-up is said to be the Q4, which will be a sportier version of the existing Q5 designed to compete against Range Rovers Evoque and to a lesser degree, sister company Porsches upcoming Cajun. It is expected to launch sometime in 2014 or 2015.

ABT's Tuning Packages for the Audi Q5 SUV

ABT Sportsline has published new photos of its modified Audi Q5. ABT has offers various performance packages for the compact SUV with power and style treatments across the range of trims. For the exterior, ABT's bodykit that includes front and rear aprons, rocker panels, new grille, a relatively large roof spoiler plus various alloy wheels (up to 22-inches in diameter) work to create an aggressive look for the German SUV. Back into the cockpit, ABT's tuning program includes a series of accessories ranging from the decorative inserts made of carbon-fiber to a full leather trim.

The more important news is under the hood as ABT's "power-kits' boost the 2.0 TDI diesel's output from 140 to 170HP, the 3.0 TDI diesel's from 240 to 310HP and the 2.0 TSI gasoline engine from 211 to 240HP with a 275HP version following in the next few months. The engine upgrades can be complemented by a sport brake system with 380mm disc and a sport suspension that brings the SUV closer to the ground.
